Enterprise Challenge

The IGNITE Enterprise Challenge is a business competition open to all students of any higher educational institution in Lagos state, Nigeria. The purpose of the enterprise challenge is to empower university entrepreneurs will the necessary skillset and funding to grow their businesses.

Screening Process:

The selection process consists of four stages:

First Stage: Screening

Successful applicants that meet the basic requirements based on the information submitted will be shortlisted for the second stage.

Second Stage: Capacity Building

Applicants at this stage will undergo a series of online training to acquire practical knowledge on scaling their business. Applicants must actively participate in the training sessions to move to the next stage.

Third Stage: Business Screening

Applicants will pitch their business to an independent screening committee for review, and the top ten (10) entrepreneurs will be nominated as finalists for the grand finale. This stage will be executed virtually.

Fourth Stage: Grand Finale

At the grand finale, the finalists will pitch their business to the judges and a wide range of audience. The prizes will be awarded to the three (3) finalists.

  • First Prize: N1,500,000
  • Second Prize: N1,000,000
  • Third Prize: N500,000


Eligibility

  • Must be a student of any higher institution in Lagos state. (Students from all higher institutions are encouraged to apply – both private & public)
  • Must have a running business with tractions (existing customers, earning revenue etc). Please do not apply if you only have an idea but haven’t started your business
  • Entrepreneurs with businesses not yet registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) are also encouraged to apply.
